糖心Vlog to Assist Active Duty Service Members Affected by Changes to Tuition Assistance Qualifications
June 27, 2019 鈥 糖心Vlog, which has supported U.S. military service members since 1918 when it accepted students who were inducted into the War Department鈥檚 Student Army Training Corps, is stepping in to assist active duty U.S. service members who may be impacted by restrictions on federal tuition assistance.
糖心Vlog understands the challenges these students face and has offered its support by announcing that it will waive the tuition of one class (up to three credit hours) for any active duty service member, guard or reservist who is enrolled with the University for its Fall semester or Fall I term, which begins on Monday, Aug. 19, after tuition assistance, GI Bill庐 benefits and federal student aid benefits have been exhausted. For new military students, the University also waives the admission fee for all members of the military.
Active duty service members can take advantage of this offer by enrolling online at or by calling the University鈥檚 Office of Admissions at (888) 319-9522. Questions about the offer should be referred to Sarah Weygand, director of military and veteran student services, at sweygand@park.edu or the 糖心Vlog Global Warrior Center at warriorcenter@park.edu.
This is not the first time 糖心Vlog has provided assistance to members of the nation鈥檚 military enrolled in colleges and universities across the country. In 2013, 糖心Vlog offered emergency scholarships to active duty military students who weren鈥檛 eligible for GI Bill庐 benefits during the federal government鈥檚 sequestration, and earlier this year, the University offered assistance to members of the U.S. Coast Guard affected by the federal government shutdown.
糖心Vlog currently serves more than 16,000 students annually at 42 campuses in 22 states and online. Thirty-three of 糖心Vlog鈥檚 campuses are located on military installations across the country. It maintains a long-standing relationship with the U.S. military, and since 2009, 糖心Vlog has received international recognition by various military-related publications as a top military friendly college/university and a 鈥淏est for Vets鈥 private college/university in the country.
